Healthy Expats, Partner of Pluhz, is a project designed to help you see the best specialists from the Netherlands, at your local health clinic. We are focused on expat healthcare needs, providing healthcare for patients in a safe and supportive environment. All of our specialists and assistants speak several languages: Dutch, English, German, Spanish, French, Slovenian, Romanian and Croatian.
Our partner Pluhz, is a booking agent for the huisarts/general practitioner. Pluhz is a well established company in the Netherlands which helps the huisarts to book echo’s/KNO/ ultrasounds/lifestyle/Gynaecology appointments with hospital doctors in the huisarts practices. Each year, they help over 28,000 patients access care locally without having to go to the hospital.
Healthy Expats wants to help the expat access the same medical care locally. We are focusing on helping you with Women’s Health, Health Checks, Ophthalmology, Ultrasounds and any other needs you may have. Our service is to suit your busy lifestyle.
You can book an appointment for Women’s care, Radiology Ultrasound, Surgery and other specialists online, choosing the time and place that suits you best! We advise that if you have Dutch insurance, to get a letter of referral/verwijsbrief from your huisarts/general practitioner.
With our specialist team we ensure that distance and language are not obstacles to receiving world-class care.
Who are we?
Bridget Kelleher is an Irish Registered nurse and specialised in Intensive Care. Bridget has worked and lived abroad for over 13 years including Australia and the Netherlands. She specialises in Menopause care.
Nika Lamesic is a Slovenian Pharmacist and lived in the Netherlands for over 10 years. Nika has also worked in an International Organistion focusing on medical finance.
Both Bridget and Nika previously worked together and formed a very strong friendship. They both understand the various experiences that Expats have in navigating and understanding the Dutch healthcare system. The aim for both Bridget and Nika is to help expats find the care they need.
